Northwest Dance Project
Dmae Roberts talks with Sarah Slipper, founding artistic director of Northwest Dance Project and Choreographer James Canfield, founding artistic director of the Oregon Ballet Theatre. Opening June 17th, Northwest Dance Project premieres four original dance works to celebrate their first anniversary in their beautiful studio and performance center in the heart of the Mississippi district over two weekends in June.
Slipper describes the piece she’s developing which is a response to oil spilling tragedy in the Gulf of Mexico and Canfield tells us how Shakespeare has always influenced his work including the piece he’s creating based on “Hamlet.”
