Stage & Studio is looking for writers and music contributors IMMEDIATELY as part of its 2011 development into a regional arts show. Writers and musicians are requested to submit their work for a curatorial process. All entries will be considered for technical and editorial review.
Writers Read – Stage & Studio will begin a regular Writers Read segment starting in February featuring Northwest writers exclusively. Poetry and prose segments must be no longer than 1-2 minutes. Writers are asked to identify themselves and their city/town and the title of their work before reading their piece.
iPhone users may use a numerous audio apps including Audioboo (which also allows you record online), iTalk and even memo apps as long as recordings have no distortion, p-popping or handling sound. Video recordings are also accepted if close miked in quiet room and can be uploaded on YouTube or Vimeo.
Writers will receive on-air and online credit with links to author sites. Any genre or style of writing is acceptable but must adhere to FCC guidelines, (PG-13). No segments longer than 2 minutes will be considered.

Music – Stage & Studio will feature original, indie Northwest recording artists each week either as theme music or transitional and closing music. All music must be INSTRUMENTAL, (NO LYRICS). Each piece of music will receive on-air and online credit with links to musicians or groups sites. Music can be in any form.
HOW TO SUBMIT:

Good quality mp3s can be emailed as through yousendit.com or singly to stagenstudio @ aol.com. Only single files please. No multiple files to be emailed. Full music CDs can be mailed or delivered to KBOO.
This is an ongoing deadline. Entries accepted immediately. Entrants will be notified upon acceptance but otherwise will not be contacted. Those accepted will air on Stage & Studio on KBOO- Portland and on regionally distributed specials of Stage & Studio as well as the Stage & Studio website.
All music CDs not accepted for Stage & Studio will be given to KBOO’s music department for future broadcasts.
