WR Debut-Katherine Emlen

Writers Read –  Stage & Studio is producing a regular segment that  features Northwest writers exclusively. Writers Read segments can be poetry or prose but no longer than 2 minutes. Writers are asked to identify themselves and their city/town and the title of their work before reading their piece. Read our submission guidelines and send us your Writers Read.

Katharine Emlen is a creative writer and nature photographer. Her poems have been published in the Ithaca Times, Denali Magazine and on the Smart Gardening Television website.  She is the author ofBelieve, an inspirational gift book for children, and the creator of the “I AM” Chant Magnets.  Most recently Katharine took two honorable mentions in the 79th annual Writers Digest Writing competition.  She currently lives in Eugene , Oregon where she spends her free time playing marimbas and hosting Sounds Global on 91.9 KRVM.
