Host Dmae Roberts presents a membership edition of Stage & Studio featuring Native American Storyteller Ed Edmo from Tears of Joy Theatre’s “Bridge of the Gods.”

This play tells the tale of the legendary Klickatat version of the fight between two chieftain brothers that caused the great land bridge in the Columbia Gorge to fall. In this program, Edmo tells the story of the Bridge of the Gods and shares some of his poetry, including his poem, “Indian Education Blues”.

Nancy Aldrich & Ed Edmo

Ed Edmo talks about the importance of learning about different cultures and keeping stories alive. “I get the question all the time, ‘Are these stories real?'” he says, “I do believe them. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t be storytelling.”

“Bridge of the Gods” is written by Ed Edmo featuring poetry by Elizabeth Woody and designed by Lillian Pitt. The show runs Friday Feb. 4th through 13th.

You can hear Stage & Studio at the KBOO website or on 90.7FM live at 11am Tuesdays.
